Description
2004 Carvin B4F CAOBA Fretless Bass w/Original Case – Excellent Condition.
Made In The USA.
I haven’t found a lot of information on this Bass. I purchased it from another guitar buying/seller friend, so the information I have is to the best of my knowledge, and what I’ve been able to find online…etc.
- Note To Potential Buyers – I had a couple people reach out to me who are familiar with this Bass with some additional information, so I have revised some of the description information below.
This is a really nice playing bass with great tone. CAOBA – meaning mahogany in Spanish. The Bass is all original to the best I know, it does have Ken Smith pickups. It seems they were installed by one of the previous owners. It has a bolt on neck, so it’s 2 pieces of mahogany/caoba. The finish looks to be a clear finish over the mahogany…possibly. It has a very nice smooth playing ebony fretboard. Included is an instruction sheet for maintenance and adjustments, and an Allen wrench. An all-around great sounding playing fretless bass.
The Bass was set up by John Carruthers in 2016, and It has D’ Addario ECB80 Chromes
40-60-75-95 Bass strings. If you have any questions about this instrument, feel free to contact us.
